During a Zoom update on October 3, which brought together over 50 participants, we discussed the first steps toward restoring TCI’s library, which was tragically lost during the war.
This restoration marks the beginning of a broader mission to reestablish the entire TCI campus in its new location in Kyiv. The discussion highlighted the critical need for the library to continue supporting the seminary’s academic mission and training Christian leaders in Ukraine and Central Asia.
As you may know, on August 29, 2022, Russian attacks destroyed TCI’s library and two other buildings in Kherson, devastating our infrastructure. Despite these challenges, God’s mission remains unwavering for us, and the vision to reopen the library is coming to life.
Through the generosity of our partners in the U.S., we have secured over 30,000 books for TCI’s new library in Kyiv, which is a key step toward the success of our study programs and safeguarding the seminary’s accreditation, which may be at risk following the library’s destruction.
To complete this vital project, we must raise $95,000 to remodel the new facility and an additional $35,000 to purchase essential furniture and equipment. We invite all of our partners to contribute to this effort. Your support will help us reestablish TCI’s role as a leading theological institution in Ukraine, continuing to equip Christian leaders for ministry. We also invite you to the library’s reopening in Kyiv on August 28-30, 2025. Additionally, we seek American librarians to help catalog the books in Kyiv next summer.
