Welcome to TCI Foundation

Education that lifts the country

ABOUT US

TCI is a higher education institution rooted in the evangelical tradition that is dedicated to preparing skilled ministers committed to advancing the Kingdom of God.

TCI’s Mission: TCI aims to equip capable and spiritually mature evangelical ministers for Ukraine and other countries. These ministers are trained to address the needs of both church and society, bridging the spiritual and social spheres.

We were founded in Kherson, Ukraine, in 1997 and expanded our outreach to an international audience in 2000. We are presently active in six countries. TCI holds full membership status in the Euro-Asia Accreditation Association (EAAA) since 1999.

In a milestone achievement for Evangelical Christians in Ukraine, TCI was granted a state license in May 2019, marking the inaugural licensing of a higher education institution for Theology training. We offer Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, certificate programs, and a Bachelor’s program in Theology online.

Today, TCI fosters an inclusive learning environment, educating students from five different denominations, emblematic of interdenominational collaboration within Ukraine’s Christian community.

Formerly based in Kherson, TCI has trained numerous young Christians across Southern Ukraine, preparing pastors, church workers, missionaries, and church planters. Notably, TCI has been a resource hub for the church in our region with a vast Christian literature collection, boasting over 30,000 volumes.

However, on March 10, 2022, TCI’s property was seized by Russian troops, resulting in the destruction of all five buildings and the loss of crucial assets like offices, library, cafeteria, and dormitories. Consequently, TCI relocated to Ivano-Frankivsk, where it not only resumed training students but also embraced humanitarian efforts, providing aid to IDPs and war-torn communities by distributing food, medical supplies, and facilitating evacuations.

We believe our best days are ahead of us. TCI has witnessed an influx of new students at its temporary Ivano-Frankivsk campus. Committed to its mission, TCI aims to shift to a more strategic location in the Kyiv area, seeking to better serve a broader Christian community from a centralized location.

Regions We Serve

Ukraine

Tavriski Christian Institute in Ukraine offers accredited educational programs for full-time, part-time, and online students, preparing church leaders and ministers for effective community service. Our curriculum includes certificate and bachelor’s degree courses. TCI is also preparing to launch a master’s program in chaplaincy training to meet specific needs for military chaplains

Central Asia

Tavriski Christian Institute operates in Central Asia, delivering Christian education and training to church leaders through its branches. TCI offers programs tailored to equip pastors and youth leaders, including certificate and bachelor’s courses. Despite regional restrictions on religious activities, TCI successfully hosts various educational programs, impacting communities and fostering leadership among local believers.

Other Initiatives

TCI not only focuses on theological education but also extends its mission through significant humanitarian initiatives and community support amid the ongoing war. These efforts include distributing essential supplies like food and medical items to those affected by hostilities. Furthermore, TCI is involved in repairing war-damaged homes and providing temporary shelter to displaced families.

Rebuild TCI Campus

Tavriski Christian Institute urgently requires support for the restoration of our campus and library, devastated by the ongoing war in Ukraine. Our library, previously destroyed and deemed a loss, has seen a resurgence thanks to the significant contributions of partners who supplied thousands of books. Now, we face the challenge of rebuilding the academic and research spaces critical to our mission of educating future leaders. We are reaching out to our community and friends to support these vital restoration efforts.
