Overcoming War Consequences

Humanitarian Aid. Evacuation

At the beginning of the war, TCI purchased two vans to evacuate people from the combat areas and the occupied territories. And in June, TCI received a grant from IDES for purchasing two newer vans for the evacuation.

Throughout the year, TCI’s staff evacuated hundreds of people from the occupied areas. In some difficult and dangerous areas, our drivers could only go 120 miles in 3 days.

I want specially thank the Worldpartners from the Netherlands and IDES from the USA for the assistance provided. Since their help has been absolutely vital for the Ukrainians we served. More than 450 tons of products were delivered to war areas.

Thanks to our partners a lot of children’s backpacks with stationery were distributed among the kids who suffered from the war and ended up in a foreign city.

Gas tanks and cooking stoves were distributed among people who did not have gas or electricity in their houses.

Also, we are so grateful to the Evangelical Seminary in Wroclaw, Poland for donating bicycles for the refugees. Besides, TCI’s staff received more bicycles from our partners in the USA.

For those Ukrainians who had vegetable gardens, our partners provided a big load of seeds. We distributed 1700 sets of 9 different crops.

During this winter, we delivered a large number of generators, power stations, and gas heaters to the churches in the south of Ukraine. Besides, our partners from Overseas Council Europe provided us with special assistance in this project.

Currently, TCI is providing help to repair broken windows in Kherson.

At this point, we know of at least three pastors, our graduates, who were kidnapped and kept in Russian prisons. By God’s grace, now they are in a safe place.

We are very grateful for your donations, as from February to December we were able to raise $420,000 for the Refugee Fund. Besides, we received generous donations to the operational fund of TCI.

Thanks to your help, we were able to provide assistance to hundreds of thousands of people in Ukraine who suffered from the war.
