Plans for the Future

We are excited to share with you an update on TCI’s strategic goals and the progress we have made in various areas. Our commitment to excellence and growth continues to drive us forward as we strive to fulfill our mission of equipping Christian leaders for ministry in Ukraine and Central Asia.

TCI License Program: In our pursuit of academic excellence, we have set clear goals for our license program. Our short-term goals include obtaining full state accreditation of the Theology program and working towards the recognition of 4-5 theology books as educational literature. Additionally, we aim to open a bachelor’s degree program in non-theological fields such as Social Work, Linguistics, and Journalism.

Looking ahead to our medium-term goals, we aim to establish a faculty with three departments, obtain accreditation for non-theological programs, and secure state accreditation for the Master’s program in Theology. We are also exploring potential partnerships with other schools to offer a postgraduate program in Theology.

Central Asia: Our efforts in Central Asia are focused on expanding our reach and impact. Over the short term, we are committed to training local faculty to teach at TCI branches and opening new branches in new sites such as Country A, and Country B. As we look towards the medium term, we envision developing a model of partnership between our branches, potentially adopting a local Board of Trustees. We aim to increase local funding to cover 30% of the branches’ expenses and have more than 30% of our teaching staff comprised of local teachers.

Opening of a Second Campus: To facilitate our growth and accommodate our expanding programs, we have set goals for opening a second campus. In the short term, we are actively searching for a property in Kyiv, whether through renting or purchasing. Relocation to Kyiv and maintaining strong relationships with leaders in Kherson and Ivano-Frankivsk are also part of our plans. Looking ahead for 5-6 years, we aim to develop a reconstruction plan for the Kherson campus, restoring it into a recreational complex capable of accommodating 500-700 people.

Translation of Textbooks: We recognize the importance of accessible educational resources in furthering our mission. Our objectives include translating books on Theology and seeking their recognition as textbooks within 3-5 years. We aim to have at least one book on each subject within the theological discipline translated and recognized. Additionally, we are working towards creating indigenous textbooks and study materials within 3-5 years that meet state requirements.

Professional Development of Faculty: We value the continuous growth and development of our teaching staff. To ensure their professional advancement, we are committed to providing ongoing training and opportunities for their development.
