TCI's 25th Anniversary Celebration

On September 16-18, despite the war, TCI celebrated its 25th anniversary.

Over 100 guests from all over Ukraine, Europe, and the US joined the celebration in person and online. The celebration took place in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk, where TCI relocated after the beginning of the war.

The celebration was preceded by a two-day theological conference – Theology of Nations, that addressed how the church should respond to present and future circumstances in our nation. The most know theologians of Ukraine participated in this discussion. Their reports will be published after the conference in Ukrainian and international theological magazines.

During the celebration, many good words were said about the past, present, and future of the school. TCI was glad to greet its old friends, partners, and supporters. This celebration became a great encouragement for all staff and students of TCI. It inspired us to carry on training God’s ministers in our part of the world with commitment and zeal.

Here is a quote from pastor Scott Weber’s article in Christian Standard regarding the celebration that accurately describes the conference atmosphere and our feelings:

“As we celebrate Tavriski Christian Institute’s 25th anniversary, we are thankful that so many pastors and Christian leaders have been trained, so many new churches have been planted and existing ones strengthened, and so many parachurch ministries have been started. I cannot begin to measure the impact of TCI’s ministry on the kingdom of God. And while the campus in Kherson (more specifically, Antonivka)

was a great tool and asset for TCI, it was not the ministry. (The church building, after all, is not the church.) TCI is so healthy that the ministry advanced boldly without the building. TCI’s staff is so dedicated that the degree programs have continued despite the school’s workers losing their homes and possessions, and despite being forced to live apart from many loved ones.
It was a heartening trip. I was encouraged by the outlook and expectations for the future of TCI and the Ukrainian church. I look forward to seeing what God does through them in the months and years to come”.

Below is a short video from the celebration, so you can see our joy.
